Monthly Career Astro Horoscope

April 2023

Aries

It was in the final 10 days of March that there was a major change in the dynamics of not just this professional year but with the natural order of the last 15 years. It began with the dwarf planet Ceres' return to your work sector on 23rd March, something that in itself was not a game changer, but three months after leaving in December this is a chance to revisit your needs and priorities on the job front. It was the timing of Ceres' return that is significant, for had she not returned, when Pluto left your career sector a day later this wouldn't have just left it, but your two professional houses empty, something that hadn't happened since 2008. Ceres can be seen as a placeholder, keeping the momentum that Pluto has created until he returns in June, which is when she will leave again. Ceres' return to your work sector almost exactly fits into the span between Pluto's departure and his return three months later. This also dials things down, while keeping you plugged in and connected at a time when there is a chance to focus more on the money. For while things are dialling back professionally, they are ramping up on the income front. While you begin the month with Venus, the planet of money in your income sector until 11th April and Mercury will begin a two month visit on 4th April, this is in preparation for lucky Jupiter's return next month. Also helping you to stay plugged in professionally is the Moon, who will continue to visit your two professional houses each month. The first will be to your work sector from 2nd April to 5th April, with this first visit since the dwarf planet Ceres returned a chance to check in on work and job matters but also on her influence. It is while the Moon is here that Mercury will return to your income sector. It is a week later that the Moon will return for its first visit to your career sector since Pluto left, from 12th April to 14th April. This will be the Moon's first visit in 15 years where the planet of change and revolution isn't here, making this a valuable chance to check in.

Taurus

Last month saw a massive amount of change across the solar system but especially on the professional front. This saw Saturn leave your career sector after three years and the dwarf planet Ceres leave your work sector after three months, in both cases leaving them empty, though not for long. While Ceres will return to resume her deep dive into your needs and priorities on the job front in June, with Saturn not returning to your career sector for another three decades, this should have ended all planetary activity on the career front until the Sun returns next January. Instead, just a day after Ceres left your work sector Pluto returned to your career sector, taking the seat that Saturn left vacant just 16 days earlier. As it has been 225 years since the planet of change and revolution was last here, this is something that you haven't experienced before and as he has only been here for eight days by the time you move into the new month is something that you are still adjusting to. While Pluto will leave in June, just as Ceres returns to your work sector, he will dip in and out before finally settling in for good later next year, then not leaving until 2044. This is the start of a two decade long journey and where Saturn was all about rules, structure and staying focused, Pluto has returned to promote change and growth but without the pressure of having to reinvent the wheel overnight. After big changes on the job and career fronts, this makes the Moon's monthly visits to both will be a chance to check in and get your bearings. The Moon will return for its first visit to your work sector since Ceres left from 5th April to 7th April, while also giving you an intuitive read on work and job matters. It is a week later that the Moon will make its first visit to your career sector since Pluto's return from 14th April to 16th April. This will give you your first real sense of his influence, with a chance until then to slowly and naturally adjust to the fairly dramatic shift from Saturn's tight fisted rein to Pluto's freedom to explore your options.

Gemini

When the Sun left your career sector last month, while this is something that will always take the solar spotlight off your career situation and matters on the March equinox each year, things were never going to go completely off the boil. Since his return in 2012 Neptune, the planet of dreams has stayed on to keep the dream alive and to provide the motivation that can keep the momentum going. However, when the Sun moved aside Neptune wasn't on his own and he won't be until leaving in 2026. It was while the Sun was here that Saturn returned and now in his first full month here in three decades you are just starting to a get feel for how empowering this is. Neptune and Saturn are both here now until 2026 and together they will spend the next three years giving you the motivation and the resolve to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes and especially when it comes to turning professional dreams into reality. This is still early days, but what will get the month off to a good start is Saturn's friendly aspect to Mars in your income sector. This is the third time in just six months that Mars and Saturn have moved into a friendly aspect, so have already established a good working relationship. However, this is for the first time while in your income and career sectors and with Mars having just returned seven days earlier, this is a chance to hitch his wagon to where things are going professionally. Key points during the month will be when the Moon returns to your two professional houses, for as well as forming a friendly aspect to Mars in your income sector as it moves through both, it will also form a friendly aspect to the South Node in your work sector. That means that while the Moon's return to your work sector from 7th April to 10th April will give you an intuitive read on work and job matters and its return to your career sector from 16th April to 18th April can fuel your professional instincts and imagination, these will be good days across the income, work and career fronts.

Cancer

Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of April in your career sector, the solar spotlight is always on your career and professional situation, matters and options at this time each year. While the dwarf planet Eris, the warrior princess of the cosmos has been here since 1926 and this will always see the Sun making her warrior and competitive spirit more transparent, for the first time in 12 years you also have Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion here. While Jupiter has been here since May 2022, he never really got out of first gear last year and it wasn't until Venus returned in February that the first of the faster planets, which can act as a trigger returned. Venus has moved through but not before her alignment with Jupiter last month helped to fuel a sense of what's possible. With Jupiter leaving next month and then not returning for another 12 years, the Sun is not just here for his annual update but to guide you into the last full month of a 12 month quest for professional growth and expansion. While Mercury will leave on 4th April, having him here allows you to begin the month with your head in the game from the start. It is a week later that the Moon will make its monthly visit to your work sector from 10th April to 12th April. This will give you a better read on work and job matters while a friendly aspect to the Sun will put them back in harmony just days after clashing as a Full Moon. The Sun will not only stay on until 20th April, but the Moon will come full circle from last month's New Moon on 18th April to not only create a second New Moon but a solar eclipse. The fact that this is a solar eclipse hints at more changes ahead, for eclipses aren't random and can only happen when a New Moon falls close to the lunar nodes, which haven't been in your career sector for several years. However, with the North Node returning in July this hints at even more new doors opening after Jupiter leaves and this eclipsing New Moon could act as a trigger for something that might not come to fruition for several months. The Sun and Moon will both leave on 20th April, after which it becomes more about making the most of Jupiter's final weeks.

Leo

While it might not be obvious at the time, April is a transition month and a month where major change is afoot and that includes on both the job and career fronts. On the job front it is less what is happening and more what isn't, as for the first time since 2008 you move into the new month with no planetary activity on the job front after Pluto left last month. As you move into the new month Pluto has only been gone for eight days and with the Moon yet to return you might not notice he is gone. To have had the planet of change and revolution here for 15 years is going to create so much momentum and you will be so familiar with the way things work that things are likely to flow just as smoothly. However, what you have is a chance to let things play out and even take your foot off the gas. With all that momentum, you can sit back and become more a passenger for a while. In the meantime, the professional gods have shifted their resources onto the career front and onto Venus' early return to your career sector last month. At face value, this is all that this has been, with Venus returning with Juno, the queen of commitment last month with the resolve to start listening to and following your heart. Even Mercury's return on 4th April doesn't suggest any massive change, however with the Sun not returning until 20th April instead of racing through a retrograde turn on 21st April will keep him here for the next two months. Even then, having Venus here until 11th April and then Mercury keeping your head in the game until the Sun turns the solar spotlight onto your career and professional situation, matters and options will appear to be nothing more than an early advantage. However, when you take into account that Jupiter will return next month to begin your biggest year for professional growth and expansion in over a decade Venus and Mercury's early return can be seen as the professional gods getting into preparation mode. Jupiter will be here when Pluto returns to your work sector in June, with massive developments on both fronts during the course of 2023 and 2024. Meanwhile, the Moon's first visit since Pluto left will give you an intuitive read on work and job matters from 12th April to 14th April, while returning to your career sector from 20th April to 22nd April will ensure you are emotionally and intuitively engaged when the Sun returns.

Virgo

All of a sudden, this professional year has not only turned on its heels, but it happened within the space of just 48 hours. It began on 23rd March when after three months the dwarf planet Ceres retrograded back out of your income sector. While having no direct impact professionally, her departure wrapped up a mission to update your income needs and priorities just as the whole dynamics of this professional year were about to change. It was less than 24 hours later and just 16 days after Saturn not only left your work sector but supposedly left it empty until the Sun returns next January that Pluto returned. This was not just the biggest cosmic shift of the year but of the decade, with the planet of change and revolution staying decades in one part of your chart. The last time that Pluto moved and shifted focus was in 2008, 15 years ago. Pluto was last in your work sector in 1798 and as this is a brand new experience, this is something that you are still getting a feel for. What made the timing of Pluto's return significant is that he returned during the last full day of Mars' longest visit to your career sector in eight decades. By the time you move into the new month Mars has only been gone for seven days, so this is something you are still adjusting to as well. However, your career sector won't be empty for long, with Venus not only returning on 11th April but straight into a friendly aspect to Pluto in your work sector. Venus will be the first planet to connect with Pluto here and as she returns to capitalise on the momentum Mars has created, she will also work in partnership with the planet of change and revolution for the rest of the month. Venus will be here when the Moon returns to your work sector from 14th April to 16th April, with this first visit since Pluto returned a chance to get a better feel for his influence. The Moon will align with Pluto and move into a friendly aspect to Venus as it passes through, while its return to your career sector from 22nd April to 25th April will see it do the same but in reverse. This will help to cement what will become a growing bond between job and career matters, but with different planets now in the driver's seat.

Libra

When the Sun left your work sector last month this may have taken the solar spotlight off your work situation and job matters, as happens on the March equinox each year, but this is when it becomes clear that things would not be returning to the old pattern. That old pattern meant that once the Sun and the faster moving planets moved through Neptune, the planet of dreams would stay on to keep the momentum going and especially when it comes to your motivation. However, Neptune is a dreamer and not a doer and while this stops work and job matters from going off the boil, the push to get things up to speed will normally end with the Sun or when the last of the faster planets leaves. That is not the case this year for while Neptune is still here and will be for another three years, he is not on his own. Instead, as Saturn moves into his first full month in your work sector in three decades, he is now part of a new team that will take things forward. While Neptune is a dreamer and not a doer, as Saturn is a doer and not a dreamer until they both leave in early 2026, they will work as a team to provide the motivation and the resolve to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes. If this was it, this would still be a game changer, but it was just seven days before moving into April that Mars returned to your career sector for the first time in two years. The month begins with Mars and Saturn already at a friendly aspect, with the first planetary activity on the career front since last August having begun just days after the Sun left your work sector. Instead of slowing down or returning to their old pattern, the whole dynamics of this professional year have changed, with the best still to come. By the time you move into the new month the Moon has already made its first visits to both your work and career sectors since Mars and Saturn returned but will return every four weeks with a chance for another check in. You will get that chance when the Moon moves through your work sector from 16th April to 18th April and to your career sector from 25th April to 27th April.

Scorpio

Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of April in your work sector, the solar spotlight is always on your work situation, job matters and options at this time of year. What is not the norm is to also have Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion here or the huge amount of water that has passed under the bridge since his return in May 2022. Jupiter spend much of last year never getting out of low gear and even retrograded back out before returning again just before Christmas. However, throughout that time Jupiter was planting seeds and laying down tracks for when the faster planets returned to help bring his biggest year for job growth and expansion home. This began with Venus' return in February, but it wasn't until the Sun and Mercury returned last month, just a few days after she left that you finally had all the resources needed. With Jupiter leaving next month, it is during his last full month here that everything is coming together. A New Moon during the Sun's first full day here has already given work and job matters the green light, while until leaving on 4th April Mercury is making it easier to work smarter while keeping your head in the game and thinking on your feet. It is just two days before the Sun is due to leave that on 18th April the Moon will come full circle from last month's New Moon. Because the Sun is still here, they will align to create a second New Moon, this time as a solar eclipse coming with a lot more punch. With Jupiter in his final month in your work sector by then and the Sun and Moon both leaving on 20th April, this will be the final push to get things up to speed. Meanwhile, with no planetary activity in your career sector, starting the month with the Moon here until 2nd April will ensure your professional instincts are sharp and you are emotionally and intuitively engaged from the start. The Moon will come full circle from 27th April to 30th April, each time forming a friendly aspect to planets on the job front.

Sagittarius

Things are taking off on the job front earlier in the year than you would normally expect but the real implications from this won't be felt until later. For now, Venus' return to your work sector last month was a chance to start exploring your options over a month before the Sun is due to return on 20th April. Venus is still here as you move into the new month and until leaving on 11th April, she will continue to give your heart a voice as she updates your desires and expectations on the job front and as she works to attract opportunities. Venus returns every year and the only difference this year is that she has returned earlier than she normally does. Also returning earlier than in most years is Mercury, who returns on 4th April with a chance to work smarter, get your head in the game, ideas on the table and the communication lines open. This is the start of a pattern and while for now, this is giving you a jump on the Sun's return on 20th April, with heart and mind in the game and on the same page before the solar spotlight even shifts onto your work situation, job matters and options there is more to this. Mercury's early return means that instead of rushing through in two weeks, a retrograde turn will keep him here until June. This means that Mercury will be here throughout the Sun's month long visit but more importantly when Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion returns next month to begin your biggest year for job growth and expansion in over a decade. All of a sudden Venus and Mercury's early return has a purpose, as the professional gods prepare for major developments next month that will run through to May 2024. This also makes sense of the dwarf planet Ceres' return to your career sector last month, retrograding back in three months after leaving to revisit your professional needs and priorities. Meanwhile, the Moon's visit to your career sector from 2nd April to 5th April and to your work sector from 20th April to 22nd April will give you a lot more insight.

Capricorn

While you will move into the new month with no planetary activity in either of your two professional houses, this is something that has not only just happened, but it won't be long before there are new developments on both the job and career fronts. It was just seven days earlier that Mars not only left your work sector but two days after the dwarf planet Ceres left your career sector. As Mars had been in your work sector for seven months and Ceres not so much wrapping up a deep dive into your professional needs and priorities but putting this on hold until returning in June, even if nothing else happened this would still leave you with everything needed on both fronts. The Moon has already returned to your work sector since Mars left and having just left at the end of March, this allows you to begin the month with an intuitive read on work and job matters and having had a chance to capture Mars warrior and competitive spirit. However, while it will be another two years before Mars returns to your work sector and the Sun doesn't return until the latter part of May each year, it won't be empty for long, with Venus returning on 11th April and in time to catch and capitalise on the wave that Mars has spent months creating. Before Venus returns the Moon will not only make its first visit since Ceres left from 5th April to 7th April but will create a Full Moon here on 6th April. With Venus returning to your work sector five days later, any fears that job and career matters might go off the boil will soon be dispelled. While the Moon is just passing through, what is triggered by a Full Moon can take weeks to play out while once in your work sector, Venus is here then for the rest of the month. The Moon will make its only visit while Venus is here from 22nd April to 25th April, leaving a month to the day after Mars left. As well as giving you an intuitive read on work and job matters and acting as a trigger, the Moon will give you a read on how things have evolved since Mars left.

Aquarius

Just when you least expect it, this professional year has taken an exciting turn and two months before there is any new movement and especially on the job front. It was just seven days before moving into the new month that Mars returned to your work sector, with his first visit in two years delayed by a retrograde phase that will now see the warrior planet of the cosmos ready to make up for lost time. While Mars has only been here for a week, in that time the Moon has already moved through though only just, having left on 31st March. As you move into the new month you will still be unpacking a download of information but with a better read on the warrior planet of the cosmos' influence. Mars hasn't yet got back up to full speed after spending months in retrograde motion, so instead of rushing through in six weeks he will be here for two months, not leaving until later next month. By then Venus will be here and with continuous planetary activity through to September, this takes away the urgency now but also throughout Mars' time here and through what can be the busiest weeks of any year. This also frees you to focus more on what you can start knowing you have months for the follow through, with a chance to let his work passions, fighting and competitive spirit take the lead. The month will also get off to a good start thanks to Mars' friendly aspect to Saturn in your income sector, which has just peaked as you move into the new month. This is the third time they have come together in six months, so these are planets that know how to work together, though for the first time focused on work and job matters. With Saturn in his first full month in your income sector in three decades, they are helping each other out. This will also bring the South Node, on its own in your career sector more into the picture, making this a ground breaking month across the income, work and career fronts.

Pisces

While there is no planetary activity in either of your two professional houses, the Moon will not only continue to return every four weeks but by the end of the month there will be a sense of anticipation on the job front. The Moon will begin the month in your work sector and until leaving on 2nd April will give you a chance to begin the month with an intuitive read on work and job matters while feeling emotionally and intuitively engaged from the start. This is the Moon's only visit while the Sun is in your income sector and with Mercury leaving on 4th April, this will get the month off to a good start on the income and job fronts. The Sun will still be in your income sector when the Moon makes its monthly visit to your career sector from 10th April to 12th April. As it does with each monthly visit, the Moon will fuel your professional instincts and imagination as it moves through while acting as a trigger or a window into career matters. Where the month got off to a good start on the income and job fronts, these will be especially good or at least insightful days across the income and career fronts. This is also the Moon's first visit this year while there are no planets on the other side of the sky to create pressure or tension. The Moon will come full circle and return for a second visit to your work sector from 27th April to 30th April. The Sun will be gone from your income sector by then, but Jupiter will still be there, ending the month on a positive note on the income and job fronts as well. This time there could be a sense of anticipation building, for while the Sun is still nearly three months away by then, with Mars returning next month and Venus returning to begin her longest visit to your work sector in our lifetime in early June, your over the horizon radar will be picking up on developments ahead and much earlier in the year than is normally the case and a lot bigger.
